Computer Controlled Shear Adhesion Tester for Pressure Sensitive Adhesives ASTM D3654

 

Classic 920 Shear Adhesion Tester is used for determining the ability of pressure-sensitive tapes to remain adhered under constant load applied parallel to the surface of the tape and substrate.

Principle

The test plate with adhesive specimen is vertically hanged on the stand and its bottom is attached with a standard weight. The lasting adhesive property could be obtained by measuring the displacement of specimen on vertical test plate or the time to failure at such load.
